Refunds
This page says when you can have your money back and how to ask. It is part of our terms. It applies from the day payments are switched on; until then nothing is charged, so there is nothing to refund.
Change of mind: 14 days, if you have not sent it yet
- You can have a refund within 14 days of first paying for an invitation if it has not gone out to guests. That means you have not emailed any guest from this site and no guest has replied on the invitation.
- You do this yourself: press "Request a refund" on the invitation in My invitations. Pressing it only asks; nothing is refunded until you confirm.
- The refund is what you paid, less the payment processing fee, because the cost of taking a card payment is not returned to us when we refund it. The fee, about how much you will get back, and the last day you can ask are shown to you before you confirm.
- Once you have emailed guests from the site, or a guest has replied, the invitation has done its job and we do not refund a change of mind.
- After 14 days we do not refund a change of mind.
If something is wrong
- If the invitation does not work as described, tell us. We will fix it, and if we cannot fix it within a reasonable time you are refunded in full, including tax and with nothing taken off, whenever you paid.
- If you were charged twice for the same thing, the extra payment is refunded in full.
- Nothing on this page limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our service comes with guarantees that cannot be excluded.
Moving up a size
- Moving up to a larger guest list costs the difference between the two sizes' prices on the day you move up.
- A refund from My invitations covers everything paid for that invitation, the first payment and any move up together, and the 14 days count from the first payment. Moving up does not start a new 14 days.
- If we refund only a move up, for example because of a fault, your invitation goes back to the smaller size you paid for first.
Gift codes and discounts
- A gift code has no cash value and cannot be refunded or exchanged for money.
- If you paid a reduced price, the refund is worked out from what you paid, not from the full price.
What happens after a refund
- A refund ends what the payment bought. The invitation is taken offline, so guests can no longer open it, and it goes back to being an unpaid draft: adding guests, emailing them and new replies are locked. The exception is an invitation that something else still covers, such as a gift code or the smaller size you paid for before moving up.
- Nothing you made is deleted by the refund itself. Your text, photos, guest list and the replies already collected stay in your account, where you can still see them and delete them. You can keep editing the invitation as a free draft, and you can pay again later.
- Like any unpaid draft, it is then deleted no sooner than four months after it was last saved, with its photos, guest list and replies, and only after we have emailed your sign-in address two weeks before. My invitations shows the date it is kept until, and saving the draft again starts the four months afresh.
- The money goes back to the card or account you paid with, and any tax you paid on the refunded amount comes back with it. Our payment partner, Polar, sends it, and your bank may take several working days to show it.
How to ask
- For a change of mind, use "Request a refund" on My invitations. If it says you cannot, it tells you why.
- For a fault or a double charge, email [email protected] from the address you signed in with, and include the order number from your receipt. We answer within 5 working days.
